Lochlands Silver Flute
Foaled April 2003.
Sire: Birchcroft Jazzman (Strathmore Concorde x Xandra of Whitefield).
Dam: Flute of Whitefield (Brig O' Doon of Whitefield x Yvette of Whitefield).

Sylvie is Flute's second foal.Like her sister Magic, she has already had some considerable success in the show ring. Sylvie got off to a great start by being champion foal at our three foal shows, the Winter Fair, Tayside and Grampian Foal shows. We enjoyed showing her as a yearling in 2004, amongst her prizes were, 1st at Angus Show, 2nd Royal Highland, 1st and youngstock champion Echt, 1st Highland Pony Society Breed Show, 1st and Reserve Champion at Kinross and to our absolute amazed delight, she was Overall Inhand Champion at the Blair Castle Highland Pony Show.

May 2006, Sylvie has been covered this spring by our young stallion Rabbie Burns of Fourmerk. She has been scanned in foal, and we are looking forward to the arrival of her first foal in April 2007.
June 2006, Sylvie continued her good run of success at Angus Show by winning the 2/3yo class and going on to be Champion Highland again.

July 2006. Sylvie has had three show outings winning the 2/3yo class at Fettercairn Show. 1st prize 3yo and Champion Highland Pony at Echt and 5th prize 3yo filly at HPS Breed Show.
Sylvie's other the two show outings for 2006, were Turriff Show, where she was 1st prize three year old and Highland Pony Champion. Her final outing was to the Central Scotland Highland Pony Club Show, here she was 1st prize three year old, and won the trophy for best filly in show.
2007 : In April Sylvie had her first foal, a lovely strong filly, by Rabbie Burns of Fourmerk.

This year she has been covered and is scanned in foal to Belivat Muldoanich, due in April 2008.
We were unsure if we would show Sylvie this year, four is often not the best age for showing a brood mare. We didn't enter her for the Highland Show, and she was away to stud May / June, but as she looked well and had a lovely foal at foot, the decision was taken to take her to a few shows at the end of the season.
Her first outing was to the rescheduled HPS Breed Show in August, here she stood 3rd in the strong brood mare class, and her foal headed the filly foals.

Sylvie had 3 further outings after the Breed Show. She was 2nd in the brood mare class at Blair Castle Highland Pony Show, 1st and In Hand Champion at Duthie Park and ended the season on a lovely note winning the brood mare class at the Central Scotland Highland Pony Show.
She is now enjoying a well earned rest over the winter and we look forward to the arrival of her second foal in the spring.
Silver Chime has been sold to Mairi Page, Glenbruar Highland Ponies, and we wish them both well.
2008: Sylvie foaled in April, her second foal, a colt this time. He has been called Lochlands Silver Drum.

Sylvie has once again been covered by Belivat Muldoanich, she has been tested in foal and is due in April '09.
